Elon set sail!🛳️

The second half of the trip included a cruise to multiple Greek islands such as Santorini, Mykonos, Patmos, Heraklion, and Kusadasi (Turkey)🇬🇷🇹🇷

In between stops, @elonmbasketball and @elonwbasketball hiked to Oia in Santorini, visited the Ancient Ephesus and the Terrace Houses, and had an insight to how they make traditional carpets in Turkey. As well as free time to explore the islands and shop! 📸🗻📜

After the cruise we headed back to Athens, where we visited the Temple of Poseidon, and the famous Acropolis site!🏛️

Finishing a great week with a team meal with a breathtaking view where we say our goodbyes.. for now 🙌🍲

Elon takes on Greece! 🇬🇷

We had the pleasure of looking after @elonmbasketball and @elonwbasketball last week, starting in the City of Athens. Both the men’s and women’s team were involved in competitive games, tours and sightseeing, cooking classes, and local clinics with time for shopping too! 📸🛍️🥘

They had the opportunity to coach the local youth players of Athens, who loved every minute of it! The drills were demonstrated by the players who were also there to help teach. Great experience for everything involved ❤️

Both teams played 3 games on the opening 3 days, resulting in both teams winning all 3 with dominant performances. 👊🏀

During there time in Athens, they took part in a cooking class, which they had the opportunity to make and taste traditional Spanakopita (Spinach Pie 🥧 ), this included a variety of Greek cheeses, olives, nuts, traditional beverages! 🍷

We also visited the Panethenaic stadium, which hosted the 2004 Olympics, as well as a tour of the Temple of Apollo and Roman Agora in Corinth, located on the outside of the city. 🏟️ 🏛️

🏐🇮🇹 Final stop: Rome!

What a way to finish @lutevb Volleyball Tour. The group explored the iconic Colosseum, wandered the historic streets on a walking tour, admired the incredible Vatican Museums and the breathtaking Sistine Chapel, and wrapped it all up with a fantastic farewell lunch at Passpartout.

An unforgettable tour filled with volleyball, friendship, culture, and memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you Italy for an amazing adventure ❤️

Day 5 in Italy @lutevb 🏐

Game day against Como Volley Select and what a match! The girls showed incredible determination, teamwork, and resilience to come away with a 3–2 victory. Then the team had lunch with the opposition, an opportunity to share volleyball stories ❤️

After the win, the group spent the afternoon exploring the beautiful town of Lucca. A brilliant bike tour around the historic walls and through the charming streets was the perfect way to experience this amazing place.🚴🏻

Another fantastic day in Italy, now onto Rome ….🇮🇹❤️

Day 4 of @lutevb Italian adventure 🇮🇹✨

Today was all about exploring the breathtaking beauty of Cinque Terre! The group wandered through colourful villages, soaked up the coastal views, and made unforgettable memories together 🌊🍋

The group then ended the day at Il Poggio, where they got hands-on with a pasta-making class before sitting down to enjoy a delicious homemade Italian dinner 🍝❤️

A perfect day filled with incredible scenery, amazing food, and even better company 😊

The group started their day in Florence with a fantastic walking tour, taking in the history and stunning architecture of this incredible city. After that, they had some free time to explore the shops and soak up the atmosphere.

The day finished with a delicious pre-match team meal before heading to face Olimpia Poliri Firenze, a great game against great competition 💙🏐

@lutevb Italian Adventure – Day 2 | Venice 🇮🇹

Today PLU Volleyball explored the beautiful city of Venice, starting with a fascinating walking tour through its beautiful historic streets. After that, the team had some free time to soak up everything this incredible city has to offer.

From wandering along the canals and taking unforgettable gondola rides to visiting the breathtaking St. Mark’s Basilica, every moment was one to remember.

A fantastic day in Venice, can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings! 🏐✨

Day 1 in Italy @lutevb 🇮🇹

PLU volleyball kicked off the trip with a walking tour of Padua, wandering through beautiful streets, discovering hidden gems, and taking in so much history along the way. The group then had some free time to explore and grab lunch before heading to the beautiful Verona to explore even more.

A thunderstorm rolled in, but the team weren’t about to let a little rain ruin their first day. If anything, it just made the adventure even more memorable 🌧️⚡

A perfect start to their Italian adventure. Can’t wait to see what the rest of the trip has in store 🍝🇮🇹

Day 5 🇪🇸

The group travelled back to Barcelona today, stopping in Sitges for a team lunch by the coast before checking into the hotel.

The day finished with another top La Liga experience as the players watched RCD Espanyol take on Athletic Club live at the RCDE Stadium ⚽🔥

Day 6 🇪🇸

Another big day on tour ⚽

The morning started with a match against Marcet in Barcelona before the group enjoyed lunch together near Plaça de Catalunya.

To finish the day, the players headed to Girona to watch Girona CF face Real Sociedad in another great La Liga atmosphere 👏

Day 7 🇪🇸

The group trained this morning at RCD Espanyol’s Dani Jarque training facilities, working alongside coaches in another fantastic professional football environment.

Later in the day, the players visited the Sagrada Família and enjoyed some free time around Barcelona before finishing with a team dinner together.

An incredible week of football and experiences in Spain.

Day 2 🇪🇸

The group started the day with a visit to Montserrat and the Basilica, taking in one of the most iconic locations in Catalonia.

To finish the day, the team experienced El Clásico live in Barcelona as FC Barcelona faced Real Madrid in a massive night for Spanish football. An unforgettable experience for everyone involved 🔥

Day 3 🇪🇸

Today began with a visit to the beautiful coastal town of Peñíscola before the group headed to Valencia for a training session at Levante UD’s facilities.

A great opportunity for the players to learn from professional coaches and experience another side of the Spanish game ⚽

Day 4 🇪🇸

Matchday in Valencia ⚽ The group faced Patacona CF in the morning before spending the afternoon exploring the city on a guided tour.

The day finished with a visit to Mestalla Stadium, home of Valencia CF, as the players continued to experience the culture and history of Spanish football.

After arriving this morning, the group spent some time exploring Las Ramblas before heading to the FC Barcelona Museum to experience the history, trophies, and legacy of one of the world’s biggest clubs.

Last day with the Mid Hudson United Soccer Team. What a journey it’s been across Barcelona and Valencia full of football, laughter, and moments they’ll never forget. Day 6 & 7 in Rome 🇮🇹✨

What an unforgettable way to wrap up @elonvb tour to Italy! The group got to experience the iconic Colosseum and explore the gorgeous city of Rome on a walking tour past the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon.

They also had a guided tour of the Vatican and the breathtaking Sistine chapel 🇻🇦

To top it all off, the team shared a delicious farewell lunch together before finishing strong with a volleyball clinic at a local club 🏐💪

Day 5 in Florence 🇮🇹✨

@elonvb started the day with a walking tour through the beautiful streets of Florence- so much history around every corner! The group then had some free time to explore, grab some lunch and hit the shops🛍️

Later, the team visited Elon’s partner university, got a tour of campus, and met up with other Elon students @elonphoenix

The group then wrapped up the day with a pre-match dinner in Florence before hitting the court for a volleyball match against Firenze Ovest Pallavolo 💪🏐

Day 4 in Italy for @elonvb 🇮🇹

An unforgettable day exploring the stunning coastline of Cinque Terre 🌊🚤 From the colourful charm of Porto Venere to the beautiful beaches of Monterosso al Mare and the postcard views in Vernazza - every stop was something special.

After an amazing day on the water, we headed to Pisa for a pre-match dinner, with a quick visit to the iconic Leaning Tower 📸

We wrapped up the day with a close, competitive match against Volley Cascina - a great test for the team and another step forward 💪🏐

Memories definitely made on and off the court 🙌

Day 3 in Lucca 🇮🇹🏐

@elonvb started the day travelling to Lucca! The group then had some free time to explore before going on a guided bike tour of the city!🚴🏻‍♀️

Then the group headed to Il Poggio for one of the best experiences yet… learning how to make fresh pasta from scratch 🍝🙌 Followed by an amazing dinner with the team, full of laughs and incredible food✨

Day 2 in Venice 🇮🇹✨

@elonvb spent the day in beautiful Venice, starting it off with a walking tour through the winding streets and hidden gems of this magical city 😍

After that, the group had some free time to eat, shop, explore. Then came the highlight… a dreamy gondola ride through the canals 🚤💫

Wrapped up the day with even more free time to soak in the Venice atmosphere ⭐️

Ireland takeover 🔥

Early bird catches the worm! @fcstarsofficial started day 7 bright and early to travel to Dublin⛵️

Once the group arrived, they explored Dublin though a fantastic waking tour of the city- seeing temple bar, visiting the cathedral, and walking along the Liffey 🗺️

The team finished the day by enjoying an exhilarating football match, Shelborne fc vs Galway united, with the final score being a 1-1 tie⚽️

And we’re only just getting started… Dublin, we’re not done with you yet 🇮🇪⚽️🔥

Day 6 started with an incredible behind-the-scenes tour of the Etihad Stadium - walking through the tunnel, pitch views, and seeing where the pros prepare 🔥

After that, the group had time to enjoy Manchester City centre- exploring the streets, grabbing food, and soaking up the vibes of this amazing city.

The team finished the day back on the pitch with a high-energy training session led by special guest coach Richard Brown. Huge learning experience and great intensity from everyone 💪⚽️
